“Knowing that you love the earth changes you, activates you to defend and protect and celebrate. But when you feel that the earth loves you in return, that feeling transforms the relationship from a one-way street into a sacred bond.” ― Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass

Lisa Pedscalny

Lisa Pedscalny is a mindfulness meditation teacher, EcoDharma practitioner, and nature photographer based on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, on the traditional and unceded territory of the K’ómoks First Nation. Rooted in more than twenty years of Vipassana/Insight practice and a lifelong relationship with the natural world, Lisa experiences Nature as a primary teacher and a living expression of Dharma.

A graduate of the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, Lisa is the founder of Forest Floor Mindfulness, where she facilitates online Sanghas, courses, retreats, and nature-rooted teachings and practices. She also serves on the teaching team for Tara Brach’s yearlong program, Choosing to Love, and is currently completing an EcoDharma Teacher certification through One Earth Sangha.

Drawing on living models of wisdom from the natural world, Lisa’s work integrates mindfulness, embodiment, self-compassion, and ecological connection as pathways of healing, interdependence, and sustainable engagement with the wider web of life. Her nature and fungi photography has been featured by Fungi Magazine and the UN Biodiversity program.
